A STORYTELLER
I TELL STORIES.
For as long as I can remember I've always wanted to be in the media industry. I wanted to create, I wanted to tell stories, write stories, help people share their stories. and more importantly I wanted to inspire with my story, over and over again in many different forms.
Be it through acting, writing, or speaking.
And over the years I have been privileged to get a taste of this dream.
I WRITE, I ACT,I PRESENT.
After studying theatre arts at college I decided to explore an acting career professionally, I've been in a few stage productions such as Romeo and Juliet, The Christmas Story and Caucasian Chalk Circle to name a few.
I starred in Christiana Andrew's short skit 'Ten Pounds' and Nollywood TV's first short film titled 'The Gift', and the movie In Case Of Incasity (In production) I hope to get several more opportunities to allow me express the many characters inside me.
Some of which I express through writing. As a freelance writer I have created and contributed content for online publications such as iROKO tv, Truthful Taboos, Lustychic, and MLA to name a few.
I've been blogging for about six years on Musings of an Heteroclite before then moving on to create a new blog; where I will continue to pen my thoughts and experiences.
I have also proof-read and edited scripts for other script writers and film makers, most notably Daniel Ademinokan which made me fall in love with the process and motivated me to study creative writing and it's application to scripts, I am currently working on adapting a short story into a movie script.
Whilst the universe is working on that I have on the hat of a presenter, after my training with Reprezent FM in 2012, I also interned at Capital Xtra and other production studios. I fell in love with being able to reach people I wouldn't otherwise meet on a day to day basis. I've been presenting for three years and in August 2017, I won the African Pride Award for TV Personality of the year.
I currently have a show #RantsAndBantsWithOyin on Climax radio every Thursday from 7pm - 9pm GMT. And The Magazine show on Saturdays from 1pm - 3pm on BenTV.
I have covered serious topics such as Mental Health, Diversity In The Media, Racism, Dealing with depression and Rape and also had some light hearted topics for the #bants such as Relationships, Hygiene, Standards of Beauty.
I have interviewed celebrity guests such as Idris Elba, Aml Ameen, Spike Lee, Sarkodie, 2 Face, Wande Coal, Davido, Adekunle Gold, Sola Sobowale, Toke Makinwa, Falz, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Timini Egbuson, Dakore Akande, Marc Rhys, Bolanle Olukanni, Abimbola Craig, Praiz, Runtown, Harry Song, Okey Bakassi, Ushbebe, Elenu, Lolo 1, Kenny Blaq, Yeni Kuti, Klint Da Drunk, Emma OhMyGod, MC Abbey, L.A.X, Dotman, May7even, D'ija, El'Vee and British artists Moelogo, Sona, Lola Rae, Nsg, Bunmi Mojekwu, Ike Chuks, DJ Abrantee and many more.
I've also had the opportunity to be a guest presenter for media companies such as Breakthrough media, Afrobeat9ja, The Beat London and Lagos as well as OHTV which has taken me on red carpets all over London, where I have met and interviewed artists such as American comedian Aphrican Ape, Olamide, Lil Kesh, Iyanya, Funke Akindele, Femi Adebayo, Julius Agwu, and JJC to name a few.
